Our house had four stoves but no open fireplace, when we moved in. So a local bricklayer made an open fireplace in our living room. The plates are lava stones from Italy, and are in the same colour as the floor. The large silver bucket is perfect for firewood, because it doesn’t sprinkle when we fill it up.
